Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people; that they, plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works, may by thee be plenteously rewarded; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

In much of the “Anglican Communion” and in the Roman Catholic Church Latin Rite, this Sunday is dedicated to Christ the King, and that is very popular in Republics where it seems that Monarchies have great support! I never did understand what the Boston Tea Party was all about. Taxes have to be raised and continue to be raised in the Americas. As to taxation without representation, that was standard at the time. I think it was just the “non conformity” of the Pilgrim Fathers that was responsible. A non conformity that is condemned in the British Monarch’s Coronation Oath to uphold the “Protestant Faith”! Notice how words have changed.
