Children’s Activities at the Garden Party

Face PaintingThere are all sorts of activities for children at St Stephen’s annual Garden Party and Fête. To begin, there are all sorts of interesting crafts to entertain the children. For $1, kids can paint a sun catcher, and for $3, they can paint a flowerpot. Or, for $1, they can have their face painted.

wheelbarrow raceWhat would a Garden Party be without races? (These are open to children of all ages, although aged children (i.e., children of drinking age) may be placed in their own category.) There are sack races, wheelbarrow races, three-legged races, and egg on a spoon race. There is even an egg toss for the more adventurous souls. Entry to all races is free.

There are games of chance and skill: a ring toss, a bean bag toss, a lollipop tree, and a duck pond. There are more sedate activites, like a bubble station and a color table. And there is a playground set nearby.

Finally, there’s A Maypole Dance. The Dance Magnet Students of Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts will demonstrate it at 1:30 PM, and when they repeat it at 2:30 PM, children can join in!

Come join us Saturday, May 4th, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. You can read all the details on our Garden Party web site. The Church’s address is 11856 Mays Chapel Rd, Timonium, MD, andirections to the church are here.
