The word “Anglican” is misleading in many ways, for the Episcopal Family that sometimes uses it, does not necessarily speak English or have much to do with England. However the English did end up with Colonies in North America, and they were very much valued by George III the annointed monarch of them. He became very distressed by their loss which may have been part of the reason for his occasional illness. The reason for their rebellion was “No taxation without representaion”, but at a time when most people were not represented, but most had to pay taxes.
