Holy Women of the Old Testament

Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our mothers, for thou hast raised up generations of holy women in the house of thy people Israel, that they might preserve the way of thy covenant. Grant us a measure of their faith, that we may be unafraid of rulers in their might and strong in our hope of thy vindication; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

⸬ The Church of Canada commemorates the Holy Women of the Old Testament on the day after the commemoration of Mary, in recognition of the long line of women and prophetesses who were precursors to the Mother of our Lord.
