Children’s Activities at the Garden Party

Windsor Bouncy CastleThere are all sorts of activities for children at St Stephen’s annual Garden Party and Fête. One of the favorite attractions is the Windsor Bouncing Castle, which is available for children under 12 years in age and under 5 stone (70 pounds) in weight, for the nominal fee of 50¢. (Children playing in the bouncing castle are always under observation by responsible people.) There is also a playground set nearby.

Face PaintingThere are also interesting crafts to entertain the children. For two tickets ($1), kids can paint a suncatcher, and for 6 tickets ($3), they can paint a flowerpot. Or, for 2 tickets ($1), they can have their face painted. Note that for these activities, you must buy tickets at the ticket booth first, and then present the tickets as payment.

wheelbarrow raceFinally, what would a Garden Party be without races? (These are open to children of all ages, although aged children (i.e., children of drinking age) may be placed in their own category.) There are sack races, wheelbarrow races, three-legged races, and egg on a spoon race. There is even an egg toss for the more adventurous souls. Entry to all races is free.

Come join us Saturday, May 6th, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Click here for directions to the church.
