Hear us, Almighty and everlasting God, as we keep festival this day in honour of the victorious death of thy servant Oswald beneath the shadow of the holy Cross: Enlarge our hearts with like love towards thee, and grant us the courage that can triumph over every foe: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

¶ Or this:

O everlasting King, thou Lord of Hosts: Set up the Cross of thy dear Son in the hearts of thy people that, with thy holy Martyr King Oswald, they may triumph over every foe; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
