Ahh, Spring!

The last threat (we hope) of heavy snow passed us by and signs of spring are appearing in the form of crocuses and daffodils growing taller by the day. And so our thoughts turn to – what else? – Garden Party.

Believe it or not, in less than eight weeks there’ll be dancing around the Maypole in the parish church yard.

To make it a success once again we need your help.

And one very important way you can help with the Garden Party is to buy/sell ads for our Program.

Ads can be personal messages or advertisements for local businesses. So if there are local businesses you frequent often, such as your hairdresser, veterinarian or neighborhood pharmacy, bring them an information sheet and encourage them not only to attend but also to support the Garden Party through the purchase of an ad.

Want to send a personal greeting to a friend? Consider a personal ad in the Garden Party program.

Information sheets with the prices and details are available at the back of the church. Please pick one up.

A second way you can help is to once again rummage through your closets, attics, basements and garages for items appropriate for our jumble table. We all have lots of those things we thought we couldn’t live without but have been forgotten in a box somewhere. Dig them out and drop them off in the parish hall for the jumble sale.

And don’t forget books, CDs and DVDs for the book table. There must be someone who covets your copy of Tiny Tim’s Greatest Hits.
