Life Line Screening: Signs of a Stroke

Life Line Screening will be holding a screening session at St Stephen’s on Tuesday, July 10th. See our previous post for details on the packages available. Meanwhile, here’s some food for thought, to encourage you to make your appointment today.

SIGNS OF A STROKE
SUDDEN WEAKNESS
  • Numbness or paralysis of the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
VISION LOSS / HEADACHE / DIZZINESS
  • Sudden loss of vision, particularly in only one eye
  • Unexplained dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
LOSS OF SPEECH
  • Loss of speech, trouble talking or understanding language

Do you know how to recognize the warning signs of a stroke? If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms, call 911 right away. It is important to seek medical treatment immediately.
