Saint Nicholas of Myra

Almighty God, who in thy love didst give to thy servant Nicholas of Myra a perpetual name for deeds of kindness both on land and seas: Grant, we pray thee, that thy Church may never cease to work for the happiness of children, the safety of sailors, the relief of the poor, and the help of those tossed by tempests of doubt and grief; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who livest and reignest with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O God, who art ever glorified in the miracles wrought through thy saints: Give us a true devotion to those, both known and unknown, who have been the channels of thy grace in word and power to us thine unworthy servants; that we may praise thee for all the signs and wonders done in the name of thy holy Servant Jesus Christ our Lord and God.
