Good Friday livestreams on Facebook

2017 Good Friday Preaching Service

A screenshot from the livestream of the Good Friday Preaching Service. Note that this is a screenshot, and not a link to the service. To watch the service, go to Isaac’s Videos page on Facebook.

Given the widespread closures due to COVID-19, we are unable to hold our traditional Good Friday Preaching Service on the Seven Last Words of Christ. However, we livestreamed the last three years’ services on Facebook, and those services are still available in the archive on Isaac’s Facebook page. The following three services are available:

2017 Good Friday Service

2018 Good Friday Service

2019 Good Friday Service

Note that you do need to be logged into Facebook (you will need an account), but you do not need to be a friend of Isaac. (But then, why not become a friend of Isaac if you aren’t already?)

The quality is about what you would expect from a phone stuck to the window over the narthex doors at the back of the church. And the 2019 service unfortunately got streamed in portrait mode, rather than landscape (so you can’t see the choir). But we hope you can take some comfort from these meditations and from the music sung by our Choir of Men & Boys.

Wishing you a safe and healthy Triduum and a blessed Easter!
