  • The Reverend Peter M. Hawkins

    Oh dear!
The name of El Francesco, the frenchman, because he behaved like a french troubador, was Giovanni Bernadone, the son of a wealthy wool merchant, Pietro Bernadone, whose clothes he took off when entering into the religious life. Nudity at the time was not as shocking as it can be today in the Middle East.
There were no English in Britain at the time of Saint Alban, so it was the British Church of the time.
I speak some British, Breizenhog here in Brittany, Small Britain, but my sister in law Annie speaks quite a lot. Yaa maat, cheers.
