Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, who hast given unto man dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth: Make us to be diligent stewards of thy creation, for thou hast given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey, and appointed us as stewards of thy manifold grace. Turn our hearts from wickedness, lest in thy wrath thou turn rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground, and fruitful land into barrenness. Make us worthy of these bounties which thou hast entrusted to us; for a good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. All this we pray for the sake of thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
