Have you heard about PAD?

Have you heard about Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)?

  • 8 to 12 million people in the US have PAD, and unfortunately only half know it
  • Only 10% of persons with PAD have classic symptoms
  • Risk factors include smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol

PAD screenings are normally not part of a routine physical. Protect your health by finding out your risk of PAD by registering for an ankle brachial index test. St Stephen’s Anglican Church will be hosting a Life Line Screening preventive health event on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

Register today for the Stroke, Vascular & Heart Rhythm package. Packages range from only $139.00 – $159.00, which includes four screenings: carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease and atrial fibrillation.

To register, contact the Director of Pastoral Care at dpc@ststeve.com, or at (410) 560-6776; or contact Life Line directly by sending an email to Melanie Baker at mbaker@llsa or call them at 1-800-324-9458. Within 48-72 business hours, someone from the call center will contact you to schedule your appointment time.
